One of Soldier's biggest strenghts are the free stats you get from the passives.
On the other hand, living shadow provides a source of life steal and scales with player bonuses so personally I would opt for the second devotion skill but it's up to youĪlternatively you could take out the last two points from shifting sands and living shadow (the ones that you don't need to unlock the skill) and put them in spider to get the 3% OA bonus at least, but the 11% attack speed is nice too for a ranged build The thing you'd be missing out on is some skill energy cost reduction from owl and the 3% OA and DA bonus from spider.
It has a 20% chance to trigger on attack (and a 1 second cooldown) and since WoP has a damage over time component and hits multiple mobs that skill is going to basically cast itself non-stop, so i highly recommend putting it on WoPĪlso this is not necessarily an improvement but I noticed you had some devotion points hanging so i rearranged them to make room for a second strong devotion skill with piercing bonuses.
Keep in mind also that word of pain is a fantastic trigger for devotion skills, specifically Shifting Sands for pierce builds. The radius increase is great but becomes less useful the bigger it gets because you really only need it to hit the strongest monsters, the rest you can kill with other aoes so leaving it at 5 is fine.
Isn't it a great feeling to suddenly realize you have 16 points to spare? haha
